Summer Startup

Application Tips

  • Make sure you truly have a deep desire to learn about and use entrepreneurial thinking and skills. You’ll be surrounded by others who have a passion for entrepreneurship, and your team will be counting on you.
  • Attend one of our virtual information sessions. The schedule and sign-ups will be available starting in September.
  • Be as creative as you can with your video, so you stand out.
  • Don’t go over the time limit on your 90-second video.
  • Provide thoughtful responses to the short answer questions on the application, double check your grammar and punctuation, and stay within the word limits.
  • Many students accepted to GSE are already running their own business or helping to run one. This isn’t a requirement, but if you don’t have such experience, we suggest you consider it.
  • If you don’t get accepted into GSE, and you remain passionate about entrepreneurship, don’t give up on applying. Every year we accept students who did not make it in on their first or second attempts. Bouncing back from failure, and learning from it, is a critical entrepreneurial skill.
  • Take the lead with your application process. We’ll be communicating directly with you, not your parents, guardians, counselors, or teachers.
